Today's training session focused on conviction, the second C in my 4 C's mantra. I've always told players I don't care if mistakes are made as long as you do it 100%. It's funny how even if you make a wrong decision, if you do it all out, it almost always works out OK. I think young players today both in college and at the youth level spend way too much time worried about making mistakes. Pressure from coaches, parents and teammates put's players in a defensive mindset, more looking to not make a mistake, rather than looking to make something happen.
If you sit on our sidelines ever, you'll always here one of my favorite sayings "don't play to not lose, PLAY TO WIN!"
