Senior Michelle Nguyen netted a penalty kick goal in overtime Thursday to lead TCU to a 1-0 victory over Air Force at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
"We got the win today and in conference play that is all that matters," said head coach Dan Abdalla. "We found a way to get the result against a Mountain West Conference opponent."
Kelsey Walters had a solid day in net on Thursday afternoon, saving four shots, while Green posted two saves.
With the win, TCU moved to 8-5-0 on the year and 1-1-0 in Mountain West play, while Air Force dropped to 2-10-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play.
The Horned Frogs will continue conference play on Saturday night against Wyoming. Start time for the match is set for 7 p.m. in Fort Worth.
