With the first semester over, the Horned Frog football team preparing for the Fiesta Bowl, the men's and women's basketball teams in full swing, and Christmas fast approaching....its never to early to think about the Spring and TCU Baseball.
The TCU baseball team finds themselves ranked in the Top 20 of the first two preseason polls to be released this year. Collegiate Baseball has the Horned Frogs ranked No. 15, while Ping!Baseball.com has tabbed the Frogs No. 19.
TCU is coming off its most successful season in school history and finished the 2009 campaign ranked as high as No. 11. They return 18 letterwinners from last year's 40-18 squad and brought in the nation's fourth-ranked recruiting class. All-conference members Bryan Holaday, Taylor Featherston and Trent Appleby anchor the Frogs' roster.
The Frogs will open the 2010 season at home on Feb. 19 against 2009 NCAA Regional qualifier, Sam Houston State. First pitch for the 2010 season-opener is set for 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.
